An update

This one here is a general update. What's been going on and such. The first few weeks, I absolutely despised 3D modelling. 'Make a dalek' I'm sitting here scratching my head. And then back to the drawing sessions in between. Oh god, they were glorious in contrast. But now, after getting into it. 3D is so much fun. And, I don't know why. It just clicked and I actually enjoy building things. I went from creating a bin, to giving it a jetpack then turning it into a robot.

Still don't know how I did it. Or why. Why isn't important. Last week we were at Bradgate Park which was just so much fun. We get there in the rain, my boots are already destroyed. And we're climbing up this hill to get to Old John, the wind and rain just nibbling at us. We get to the top and we look out over all of Leicester. In the distance you just see the rain coming closer. It just kind of flickers in the light. Like fog almost. We draw for a while. The weather catches up with us. Plasters us with water. We're drenched descending from this steep hill. Walking down humming songs from the lord of the rings absolutely dripping. My feet, like they'd been in the bath for an age. But with all these distractions a beautiful silence fell. We're high up, soaked, exhausted. But I'd never felt more content. I have no idea why.

Bradgate final.
And then this week it's all been about the museum. Lots and lots of bones. Actually, there aren't that many bones there. They're mostly artificial because they couldn't find the rest. Still, here's some bones.

When I'm feeling particularly down or up I'll do a bit of drawing. So here's a bit of my soul drawing for this week. The first one, I was definitely happy.
