A never-ending job

Back from Christmas, we were pelted with work. Yes! Work. To go against the norm, but I like to work. Work keeps me sane, gives me a bit of purpose and such. Work wise, we had to produce 12 finals in ink which is rather a lot in contrast to our 'have a week to do one final' routine. And in game production, create a ford transit van. I'll go more into detail about them at a later date, for now I want to talk about our week long projects.

Last week, we were taken off timetable for some intensive workshops. How exciting! Really, it was absolutely incredible. I learnt rather a lot. We had a week to create a vehicle. This is how we did it.

Take an object. I used a watch.

Draw the object until you realise its fundamental shapes.

Block the fundamental shapes in as silhouettes and change certain parts of it.

Realise that the silhouette now looks like a spaceship and start to turn it into a vehicle.

Work out how it works and what it looks like.

Be awesome at photoshop and produce final images of the design.

That's pretty much how it happened. I still don't know how it happened. It confused me. Anyway, next week is the 3d workshop so let's see how that goes.
