Virtual Plein Air

If you're any way engaged with Facebook's art community you'd have probably noticed it's abundance of art pages, one of them being 'Virtual Plein Air' which involves using Google maps' 'Views' feature to find a location from around the world and ultimately paint it. I'm not entirely sure why but the past year of plein air paintings I had produced sort of surfaced on Reddit a little bit. Which is quite a lot to me. It got a few hundred thousand views which sparked the interest of some journalists which has somehow landed my paintings on a few websites. Here's one of the websites http://www.pixable.com/article/google-maps-inspired-paintings-by-chris-lonsdale/ and the paintings themselves. Have fun.
